Well your boat will be all right on Dianshan lake. Depth is a quite consistent 2 meters. I will be at the lake on Nov. 2nd again as it looks now. Next week I am in Japan, so won't make the 30th.

I"ll get a Topcat K3race ( 15ft), It's not so fast as the Taipans but still ok.
When I checked the Chinese lakes , I saw a lot of seeweed and the depth is not calculable so I decided for a beachcat without daggerboard . Should be able to sail also in Taihu

The Nanhui seapark is directly on the coast 20 km from Pudong Airport nearby the new DongHai bridge ( A2 ) It's an artificial round lake with a diameter of 3,5km and the water seems to be still pretty clean.
The marina there is runned by the same company as the Yachtclubs marina .
It should be a good option for later when it would be allowed to sail on the open sea . There is a gate from the lake to the sea .

Thanks for the info on the Nanhui Seapark.I had heard about it, but I have never been there. Even though my office is in Nanhui. Sounds interesting, and I will check it out one day.

In January / February my new boat arrives and I have to decide if I take the boat to Nanhui ( lonely sailing but good wind ) or Dianshanlake to share the fun with other sailors

I examined Decathlon's website, and found that there's a location in Chang Ning district, not so far from me. I will check it out within the next few days.
